DETAILS & FAQ
Who can attend ARTENBRU?
Anyone over 21 with a valid, government issued photo ID (no exceptions) can receive a wristband and take part. No photo ID, no entrance.
Do I need to purchase a ticket in advance?
No. All admission sales will be done on a first-come, first-served at the Black Dog Cafe.
How much does ARTENBRU cost?
Entrance to the event is $7 USD. None of that Canadian or European stuff.
What does my $7 get me?
Your admission cost includes 4 oz. sampling of all featured homebrews, a souvenir imperial-sized pub glass, a voting BRUcard with bios and brewers notes and mad wild funk from Double Trouble. A good beer at our most reputable watering holes can easily cost more than this. Skip the late night Jimmy Johns run the weekend before, and, bam, there’s your $7.
Your admission does not cover any of the groovy prints for sale by the designers, food, or full-pour beers on tap at Black Dog Cafe.
How much do posters cost?
Each designer sets the price of their prints. They will be fairly priced, though, and we hope you take home as many of your favorites as you can. After all, these might be the first pieces of art created for a beer that is someday on tap at a bar near you.
Will there be other beer available?
But of course! The Black Dog Cafe prides itself on featuring Minnesota-based brew on its two taps and in its bottle selection. During the event we’ll be featuring beer from our sponsors, whose names you may be familiar with: Surly, Fulton, Summit. Full-pour tap beer is not covered by the admission price. Rest easy, they’ll be PBR-cheap.
Will food be food available?
Yes. Black Dog Cafe will be featuring some mighty fine BBQ basics on their outdoor patio for your enjoyment. Food is not included in the price of admission.
Where’s the Black Dog Cafe?
Black Dog Cafe is located in wonderful, artist-friendly Lowertown, St. Paul. To be more precise, it’s located at 318 Prince St.
Where should I park?
There is some street parking in Lowertown. St. Paul parking tip: Meters are only enforced until 4:30 p.m. Other than meters, there is a large pay lot just east of Black Dog Cafe on Prince St.
ARTENBRU RULES
All sampling and consumption of alcoholic beverages as part of ARTENBRU must take place inside Black Dog Cafe or on their patio. Each ot these areas will be clearly marked. Anyone found drinking outside of these areas will be asked to leave immediately.
Think before you drink. Pace yourself and make sure you have a designated driver lined up before you get to the event. This is a busy downtown area. Don’t drink and drive.
We reserve the right to remove anyone, at any time, interfering with the ability of others to enjoy the event. Be nice people.
