'Tis the season to open our hearts like we open our governments, and this year I am particularly thankful to be back in Washington, D.C. amongst you naughty and nice boys and girls. What better timing then to host a housewarming brunch to help christen my new place along Seward Square, welcome my new housemate from the snowy depths of Vermont to this dubious effort of a city, while at the same time holding our hearts close to each other in the holiday spirit.
A roaring fire. Songs to fill our spirit. Spirits to fill our mouths. And a vast array of delicacies provided by a potluck atmosphere made glorious by the foodies in attendance.
Who will get caught beneath the mistletoe? I don't know! Will Adam Rosenberg delight us with a song? I do know! Will I light the flaming rum punch literally on fire and cause a minor situation? Only if *you* come.
So come slow dance with us this December 12 as we welcome you to our new home - as we welcome you anew into our embracing arms. And together we can create the magic that is the holidays, and fill this new home with it like a child's dreams of a better tomorrow. Unless that child has problems.
