Katie is a first grade girl who has been teased for bringing her Star Wars water bottle into school because the boys in her class say Star Wars is only for boys. Sine her mother posted the story on the web, people of all ages have read and commented to show support for the girl to like whatever she darn well pleases.
On December 10th this year, let's really give her something to smile about. On that Friday, wear a Star Wars tee shirt or any other piece of paraphernalia to show that you support Katie, Star Wars, anti-bullying, or at the very least, cool water bottles. If you don't have any, be creative.
Invite everyone you know. Let's show Katie and those boys at school how much support she has.
***UPDATE!***
Katie's parents have requested that, in light of the season, those with the means donate a Star Wars toy to needy children. Whether you are able to wear your Star Wars or not, I think this is a fabulous opportunity to spread the immense amount of love and goodwill inherent in the support this lucky girl has received. Let's make some other current and future Star Wars fans as happy as we've made Katie and keep the goodness going!
