Join Food+Tech Connect, Open Source Cities, & Gojee on December 4th for the inaugural Food+Tech Hackathon as part of the International Open Data Hackathon (http://www.opendataday.org/). This open-source hacking event will bring together developers from all over the state to hack on real-world problems relating to how we grow, prepare, and interact with food.
What:
Developers, designers, statisticians, urban farmers, public officials, and researchers will come together for a 12-hour hackathon that uses public data to help citizens connect with their food. We will make sure your mind and belly is nourished throughout the day with delicious food and thought-provoking presentat
Non-coders are encouraged to participate as well. Please share ideas about what mashups, apps, visualizations, or websites you would like to do on project wiki:

All ideas MUST be added before the day of the Hackathon. Feel free to begin organizing groups before the event or just join a group day of.
Why:
On December 4th citizens from around the world will be coming together at local hackathons to design, code, and create projects using open public data. The goal is to show support for and encourage governments around the world to adopt open data policies.
