It's time for the December hike! Sorry for the short notice, but I wanted to squeeze in a hike before the winter break and take advantage of the beautiful weather we have been having! Our December hike will be this Sunday, December 19 in Palos Verdes on the Ocean Trails Reserve. We'll plan on meeting up at 12:30 - starting a bit later this time per popular request :)
The hike is about 1 1/2 miles roundtrip, though we'll probably go a bit longer walking along the beach. The beginning of the hike is a Trump National Golf Course - don't hold that against the hike! Parking is free and the views are beautiful. The hike is pretty low key, although there are some steep switchbacks down to the beach.

Directions:
The walk starts in the public parking lot, One Ocean Trails Drive. At the south end of the Harbor Freeway (110) or the west end of the Vincent Thomas Bridge ( 47/705), turn left onto Gaffey Street. Go 25 blocks and bend tight to the right onto 25th Street. About one mile after you enter the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, turn left onto Ocean Trails Drive (Trump National Golf Course). There is free parking in the lot on your left just before you get to the golf clubhouse and on Ocean Trails Drive.
