Industry City and Marian Spore invite you to a special reception and performance on Saturday, December 18.
The event marks the closing of Marian Spore, a collection of artists' installations housed in a 16,000 square foot industrial space. The space opened in September 2009 with a single audio piece; there are now works by ten artists on view: Andy Graydon, Joyce Kim, Thom Kubli, Anna Lundh, Graham Parker, The Plug, Christopher Robbins, Marina Rosenfeld, Joe Winter, and Marina Zurkow.
To celebrate the conclusion of this project, Sergei Tcherepnin and Stefan Tcherepnin will perform an audio composition through artist Marina Rosenfeld's public address system, a complex of large, sculptural horns that fill the cavernous 16,000 square foot space with waves of sound.
Let us not go gentle into that good night!
