More than two years in the making by over a thousand contributors, Drupal 7 will be officially released on the 5th of January 2011. To celebrate, and get you up to speed with the latest and greatest version of Drupal, the London Drupal Community invites you to a Drupal 7 release party that is part of a network of over a hundred parties happening world wide on the same day - 7th January 2011. Our host for the evening will be Microsoft, no strangers to epic version seven release parties, and the venue they have provided us with is superb! We have room for 200 attendees. Please add yourself to the waiting list. Presentations Presentations will start at 6:30pm. Ask A Drupal Expert We have a booth where you will be able to put your questions to Drupal experts. Food, Drink, and Prizes There will be free pizza and drinks, plus various prizes will be given away including Drupal books from  Packt Publishing, t-shirts, stickers, and Drupal Gardens heads from Acquia. Pub After Event We will move to a pub after the last presentation at 9 p.m. Please rsvp here if you are interested in coming to the pub so we know how many people to expect. Out of the box Drupal provides a rich toolset for quickly setting up and maintaining a website, including content management and advanced community building features.Drupal is also framework for rapid development, so new features such as eCommerce can be quickly added by installing a plug in from a library of existing modules, over 6,000 currently available - or you can develop your own modules and plug them in. Who's Using Drupal? The White House, New York Observer, MTV UK, The Economist....and many more. You've probably been to many Drupal sites without realising it! Organisers and Sponsors This event is organised by Mark Baker, and Robert Castelo. Mark Baker is an Open Source sales and marketing expert. Robert Castelo is a director at Code Positive, a Drupal London consultancy with a long history of involvement in the Drupal community. Microsoft has supported the Drupal community for several years, and implemented interoperability with many of it's products.
