For a single night we celebrate the unforgettable music of the legendary Louis Prima, who would have turned 100 this year, and pair it with an Italian-American menu driven by MasterChef's Aaron Harvie and food writer Michael Shafran (Gosstronomy.com). On stage will be a fully stocked swing band led by Simon 'The Senator' Bartlett with vocals by Australian jazz siren Sarah J Hyland, 1950s torch singer and stylist Pia Anderson, Bartlett himself and a very special guest - crooner Frank Bennett, known for his big band version of Radiohead's "Creep", a former Triple J's Hottest 100 hit.

The night will start with the original 'boho swing' sounds of Sarah J Hyland & The Reckless Gentlemen, then give way to Bartlett's full-fledged swing troupe, Cocktail Cabinet. For those lucky to get tickets for the accompanying dinner, the menu will feature Harvie's take on Italian-American dishes that are seeing a revival in the US, but have never come to Australian shores.

Prima is the vocalist and trumpeter who's renowned for some of the swing era's most memorable songs, including Just a Gigolo, Jump Jive & Wail, Sing Sing Sing, Buona Sera and I Wanna Be Like You (from Disney's 'The Jungle Book').

Aaron Harvie gained fame this year as the rock-n-roll semifinalist on the 2010 season of MasterChef. His most memorable moment was his ravioli dish that prompted judge Matt Preston to smash the plate and proclaim it "Disgustingly good!" His passion for American flavours made him a natural to design the event's Italian-American menu.
