Hope Flight Foundation was founded and incorporated as a non-profit public benefit organization in California in October 2005, by Douglas Harding, a professional pilot. He saw a need for dependable free air transportation for children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses in need of medical treatment at facilities far from their homes.
