Calling all Data Geeks! Does the word data get you excited? Have you already RSVP'd without bothering to read the read of the description? No? Here's some more buzz words for you: Big Data, Data Science, NoSQL, Cassandra, Hadoop, Machine Learning, Data Mining, Predictive Analysis, Computational Linguistics, Large Scale Graph Analysis, Statistical Natural Language Processing, Fine-Grained Parallelism, Mahout, Tika, Lucene, the Semantic Web, Weee! Read the GeekAustin interview with Flip Kromer on the history of the Data Cluster Party . This year, Flip and Infochimps were gracious enough to invite DataStax and GeekAustin to join as co-hosts. While we won't be barring Social Media people at the door -- be forewarned -- this is just Data Geeks talking about Data. We know that quite a few people weren't able to attend last year because we maxed out the venue. So for the 2011 party, we've reserved Elysium for the evening.
