I started a Usability consulting firm in 2001 in Little Rock Arkansas. At the time, 37 Signals who had yet to release Rails, was a Usability role model. When 37 Signals launched Basecamp I was primarily using ASP and Zope (since they were my biggest customers and eventual employer). I remember thinking how difficult Basecamp would be to create with my current frameworks, so when I discovered Rails and discovered that Basecamp was written in Rails, I started exploring. The opinions, conventions, and code generation was immediately appealing. I've been riding the Rails ever since. I've recently became very interested in Javascript both as embedded language (Titanium Appcelerator) and for Rich Internet Applications (Sencha Touch and Ext/JS).
