The Hot Air Music Festival is the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s first student-run contemporary music festival. After the glowing successes of last year’s festival (not to mention the awesome amounts of fun!) we are keeping up the tradition of an 8 hour marathon concert in our second year. The Second Annual Hot Air Music Festival will begin at 2 PM and continue non-stop through 10 PM. During the festival, we will showcase some of the most cutting edge music of today’s world – only ONE PIECE on the festival by a DEAD COMPOSER (Harrison’s violin concerto)! The event is entirely student-run; performers will include students, alumni, and faculty of the Conservatory’s collegiate and preparatory divisions.
Admission to all or part of the festival’s marathon concert will be free, and donations to the festival are kindly accepted.
Directors: Matthew Cmiel, Carolyn Smith, Kelsey Walsh
