Ladies and Gents,

It’s time to get Naked! Well at the very least let’s all come together in support of Nyood for Nicaragua! The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine along with MyShindigs Inc., and Nyood Restaurant have joined forces to raise awareness and hold a fundraiser in support of the people of Nicaragua. While not as highly publicized as other struggling nations, let us assure you that they do need your help. If this in itself is not enough to get your attention, then how about attending one of the hottest parties this year and get a chance to mingle and dance it up with over 200 vibrant, beautiful, intelligent men and women for a what is sure to be a legendary night.

For those that would like to know more about us and the cause itself; we are a group of third year students at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. About 15 of us are going to Nicaragua to donate our time and skills to work in a clinic on the island of Ometepe. We are going down for 10 days, and spending about 8 - 12 hours per day treating the Nicaraguan people using various holistic approaches, doing full physical exams, performing acupuncture, hydrotherapy, etc. We will be staying with families in their villages (not in a hotel) and learning about their culture and way of life. We will also spend time working in the fields with them, harvesting a variety of crops. It will be the single most incredible learning experience that we are all very fortunate to have. It is an organization similar to “Doctors without Borders”, but instead of medical doctors, we are naturopathic doctors. If you would like more information, the website is www.ndimed.org
