Is this you? "I have to start somewhere but how do I catch up? I don't even want to begin GTD because I'd have to face the backlog." Are you ignoring red items in your Omnifocus?

During this meeting we'll discuss tips, strategies, etc, to not let your back-log paralyze you from getting your system into motion.

This meeting is the first of a series of four on the final Sunday of the month. Come to one or all or as many as you like. Attendance at two of the four meetings is required to be eligible for the "Deepen Your Practice" series starting in August.

What Will Happen at Each Meeting?

We'll gather at a Palo Alto coffee house and I will begin with a short tutorial on the topic of the day. Then I will guide the masterminding process that was so successful in our last group. Masterminding is a process developed by Napoleon Hill in the 1930s. In masterminding, you get a chance to raise an organizing "problem" you're tackling and get others from the group to brainstorm solutions for you. It's kind of like "speed coaching," and it can be extremely helpful. If you sign up, we'll be sending you a quick Masterminding Guidelines Sheet so that you can read how this process works before you come. It will be important for you to review this carefully, especially if you've never done masterminding before, because the value of masterminding comes from the integrity and quality of the process.

"No two minds ever come together without, thereby, creating a third, invisible, intangible force which may be likened to a third mind." - Napoleon Hill

How well do I have to know GTD to participate?

These events are geared toward people with some working knowledge of GTD. But you do not have to be a GTD master. The whole point of this group is to help us all better work with GTD so that our lives can flower easier and more powerfully. If you're afraid you don't know enough, it's fine for you to come and just listen. Just let me know at the outset that you'd prefer to "wallflower" the mastermind portion, if that is your desire.

Mindful RSVP-ing, and Waitlist

Space is limited, so please be mindful and RSVP only you know you can come so that you don't keep someone else from attending who really wants to be there. And get on the waitlist if it's full because people often change things around last minute and you might get in and it also helps me guage what kind of interest there is for future events.

Donations!

A member made it clear to me that I really should ask others to chip into the cost of running the group (it was more than I anticipated starting out!), so I'm adding a donation request to these events for the first time of $10 -- or whatever you can give. No will be one turned away. You can bring cash, or if you want to pay ahead-of-time by paypal, I'll send out a link ahead-of-time before the event.

Location

Exact location will be announced once you've RSVP'd.

How do I learn more about GTD or Masterminding?

<a href="Wikipedia" target="_blank">http://en.wikipedia.o... article on GTD
<a href="How" target="_blank">http://howtomastermin... to Mastermind - a basic introduction
