national no pants subway ride day a treasured national holiday which occurs all around the country and even in other countries across the globe. unfortunately for us in austin A)we lack a true "subway" system, and B)the official holiday is usually held on january 9th of each year. not to be outdone though and in true austin style we will be holding our own to join the ranks of those who boldly took the steps to liberate their legs and celebrate their favorite pair of underpants.

we will all board the brand new METRO RAIL at the MLK station at 6:14 (don't be late) and ride the rail down to the downtown end of the line stop at which point we will celebrate our own keep austin weird holiday with a post party at a pants-free friendly bar.

don't let the fact that we don't have a true "subway" stop us from getting in on this holiday, i bet cap metro never really had this use in mind when they put the metro rail together. This holiday has been gloriously celebrated for the past 10 years and its about time austin put their own unique mark on it.
