Here is an E-mail i recieved from our friend Mary Ann:

Hi Chris,
We are hoping you all can again be part of Free Comic Book Day 2011 at the public libraries! This year it will be Saturday, May 7.

I know you mentioned to Liane the new group Costumer's Guild of Hawaii that you might also be participating in.

What I would like to do is make a list of the contact information for the various costume groups that are willing to be considered for Free Comic Book Day, then put that list out to the participating libraries and ask them to contact you all directly. Then once things are lined up, I will make a master list for publicity, etc., of locations and times.

So what I would need from you all is contact person(s), contact info (e-mail or phone), any fees (honorariums okay since the 501st is strictly volunteer?), and if you only want to be considered for one area of the island (e.g., westside, eastside, windward, and leeward).

These are the Oahu libraries that are participating this year:

Aiea, Aina Haina, Hawaii Kai, Kailua, Kapolei, Liliha, McCully, Mililani, and Waimanalo.

Also do you know of anyone on the neighbor islands who is doing this? Neighbor island libraries participating are:

Big Island - Hilo and Kealakekua

Maui - Kihei and Lahaina

You know we love having you guys (and girls) and hope that we can get on your calendar!

I am going to be out for a couple of months for knee replacement surgery beginning Feb 28, so I want to get as much taken care of as soon as possible.
