We Heart New York Wine Tasting Red Hook Winery + Ravines Found and spearheaded by Mark Snyder, Red Hook Winery’s concept disrupts the notion that world class wine can’t be made in Brooklyn. Indeed, the trio has proved otherwise. Built around showcasing two CA wine heavies, Abe Schoener (Scholium Project) and Robert Foley, Red Hook Winery is turning out convincing wines that bear an indelible influence of these epic winemakers. Our NY State wine buyer Ben Wood, a fellow Brooklynite, will be pouring. Featured wines are always 10% off during the tasting. Red Hook Winery “Black and Blue” (Brooklyn) 2008 A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon that is the most robust, full-bodied New York wine we’ve ever tasted. B&B reads thick, densely aromatic and textured with rich black fruit. Produced in Red Hook, Brooklyn and showing the clear imprints of lauded California winemaker Bob Foley.
