During my week of living in poverty, surviving on welfare wages, and volunteering in some hard situations, my life was changed forever. You’ll have to watch the show to learn more (I can’t ruin the surprises—you’ll have to see my episode), but let me just tell you the true stars of my journey were the amazing people I encountered who give endlessly to make their worlds a better place.
I was the one who was honored and humbled to give… to THEM. Tears flowed freely on screen (I think I win the crier award) and I am still working regularly with three of the organizations to this day, helping them increase their impact and expand their reach.
Secret Millionaire is one of the top-watched shows on Sunday nights right now, and it’s great to see such a positive show about helping people gain such a following. It’s a great alternative to a lot of the crap that’s on the tube most nights.
