Come watch the BSG miniseries at our building's theater! Be introduced to the BSG phenomenon for the first time or harken back to a time before they got all crazy with Starbuck's destiny and that fucking All Along the Watchtower shit. We're going to be watching it a 30-something seat theater. Snacks and booze will be provided.

For those who don't know, Battlestar Galactica is a SciFi channel remake of the kitschy original 1978 TV series. Like the original, in this reboot we find the remaining few thousand survivors of a near-extermination of the human race on the run from their robotic creations in a trusty old spacefaring battleship.

The reboot replaces the original's cult campiness with ever-escalating tension and very few opportunities for the survivors (or the show's fans) to catch a break. Drama and subversion from within the ship and without, doing away with Star Trek's "technobabble," and more than a few Firefly references round out the impressive science fiction package.

The high-hopes plan is to show the entire series over a long period of time; but for now let's just enjoy the miniseries that kicked off a phenomenon!
