I am thrilled to announce a fabulous line-up of fantastic comics
and singers. Everyone is highly experienced and giving their time
for free for this harrowing cause. The devestation and
destruction is incomprehansible and if this event can raise money
to help even in the smallest of ways then it is worthwhile.\n
 \n
In the words of my little sister who lives in Tokyo\,\n
&quot\;Any money that can be raised and sent here will be
desperately needed. Of course it is obvious to the world that
Japan is in crisis. If you can help with that it would be
 amazing. Best of luck. Take care\, Emily x x x x x&quot\;\n
 \n
Entrance is just £5 with ALL donations going 100% to The British
 Red Cross.\n

100% of proceeds will be going to The British Red Cross\, the
following is the information they have on the Japan Tsunami
 Appeal.\n
 \n
A massive earthquake\, the seventh largest recorded in history\,
struck the east coast of Japan on Friday 11 March.\n
 \n
The earthquake\, measuring 9.0 on the Richter scale\, triggered a
tsunami which hit the east coast of Japan with 7-metre-high
 waves\, leaving a trail of destruction.\n
 \n
The massive earthquake and resulting tsunami that struck Japan on
11 March have caused widespread destruction and suffering\,
relayed on television screens around the world.\n
 \n
More than 4\,300 people have died in the disaster\, thousands are
injured or missing\, and more than 440\,000 people have had to
 leave their homes.\n
 \n
Our supporters have responded to this situation with huge
generosity and solidarity in their donations to the Japan Tsunami
Appeal. We are extremely grateful for and humbled by their
support. Thank you to everyone who has given.\n
 \n
The Japanese Red Cross has 115 response teams working on the
ground now\, as they have been since the disaster began\,
providing first aid and emergency healthcare\, as well as
distributing relief items. The teams are made up of more than 730
 staff\, including doctors and nurses.\n
 \n
The costs of the relief effort\, and of rebuilding the homes and
lives of those affected\, will be immense. Donations to the
British Red Cross will be used towards helping the Japanese
people recover from this devastating natural disaster over the
 coming months and years.\n
 \n
In the event that we receive more donations to the Japan Tsunami
Appeal than the Japanese Red Cross and International Red Cross
and Red Crescent Movement can reasonably and efficiently spend\,
any surplus funds will be used to help us prepare for and respond
to humanitarian disasters both here in the UK and overseas.\n
