After last month’s incredible show with the excellent GROUPLOVE, Chad Valley and Big Deal, Oh! Inverted World are back on March 17th (Yes, it’s St Patrick's Day. Yes, there will be Guinness) for another night of bands and inverted worldliness.
Headlining for us we have the wonderful London experimental folksters Dark Captain, Light Captain. The six-piece make beautifully dense and ambient tunes, wide in dynamics and sound. We basically love them more than a little bit, check this video if you need further convincing.

And opening we have the incredible Richard Walters who may just break your heart. His gentle falsetto, free from theatrics and histrionics, means that the subjects of his songs come as a surprise. Singing about having a seizure, or the anxiety you feel at the start of an affair, or about domestic abuse from the point of view of the abuser, Walters resolutely refuses to “rock out”: the mood is of quiet despair and unfulfilled desire, of anxiety and dismay, of melancholy and longing.
