The Arizona Wind Symphony concludes its indoor season on April 13, 2011 with a concert entitled "A Night on the Town", conjuring up a variety of scenes and music that people very well might find when they have a night out. If you fancy a Broadway show for your evening, then the musical selections from "Riverdance" will be ideal. Should you find yourself going out for an ethnic meal, then an "Italian Polka" or "Danzas Cubanos" could be something you find on your musical menu. Top that meal off with a drink from Scotland with "Strathcarron", music composed by British writer Philip Sparke. If you find yourself thinking about the the zoo, then Camille Saint Saƫns "Carnival of the Animals" will will fit the bill. For the people enjoying the roots of jazz, Sammy Nestico's "Salute to American Jazz" will have you swinging in the auditorium. Concert bands typically include a selection by Leroy Anderson on their programs, and The Arizona Wind Symphony is no different as we present "The Girl I Left Behind Me". If your night has you visiting a comedy club, then you'll laugh with "The Roosters Lay Eggs in Kansas". And if you are a fan of traditional band repertoire, the Sousa march, "With Pleasure", is just for you.
