The rumors are true. Sometimes we take off our boots and gloves and talk over drinks instead of pigweed. This month, we’ll be having the first Crop Mob SpeakEasy. The topic this go-around will be an idea we’re pretty pumped about:
Collective Harvest City Farming
What the heck is that? Well, it’s what dedicated people like you make it.
You know that secretly — deep down — part of you wants a farm. But most of us are a little too ingrained in city life to do that (right now at least). But what if you could have that farm without drastically changing the way you live?
It’s not as crazy as it sounds.
Consider a dispersed city farm. That means you find some friends, decide what you like to eat and what each of you can grow in your current space, grow it, share it, rinse, repeat!
No matter where you live, you can grow something. Mushrooms in a shady area, tomatoes on your balcony, herbs on your windowsill. And when everyone grows something, you may just find yourself with a lot! Does it get much easier than that? The hardest part: agreeing on a name for your new farm!
Right now, it’s just an idea. But if you think it’s a good one, come join us:
Sorry we can’t provide drinks and snacks, but there will be delicious ones there for purchase!
