Cool art, hot music. Don't miss the launch of Échale! Latino Music Estyles, a six-part Latin music series at the Park at Pearl amphitheater.
First up: A free concert headlined by Latin alternative pioneers Ozomatli. Opening is Mexico City-based Artist Lazaro Valiente, kicking off a series of multi-media performances. La Santa Cecilia follows, performing against the background of a park-wide installation by San Antonio artist Cruz Ortiz. Ozomatli closes with a starlight, riverside performance.
The Pearl amphitheater seats roughly 1,000, but Pearl is inviting latecomers to bring lawn chairs and blankets in case seating is scarce. Feel free to bring snacks and refreshments but no alcoholic beverages are permitted.
Parking will be available onsite, and please make sure to remember the Kohler garage, which has more than 300 parking spaces.
