Yes, the time is upon us already, the tickets for the London Olympics are going on sale next week.
I'm happy to help co-ordinate people who are planning to go to the Olympics so that people can apply for tickets together and therefore sit with friends instead of 5 people deciding to go and applying individually for tickets and all sitting alone.
What you will need to do is have a look at the schedule of events and decide which events and which price category you would like to attend. I will see if there is anyone else who wants to go to the same event and then we can decide if it's worthwhile doing the application together.
Please not the minimum price for a ticket to a session is 20 pounds and the highest priced ticket for a sporting session is about 750 pounds. This is not Beijing, this will not be a cheap endeavor for those coming from overseas so you should only be applying for tickets if you can actually afford it. If someone else buys a ticket for you because you said you wanted it, then you must pay for it whether you end up going or not.
If you want to go but don't know which sessions to apply for (for the beach volleyball for example, as there are more sessions than in Beijing as well as the prices being higher) then let me know.
Clicking on the Attending or Maybe attending buttons is not the same as telling me which tickets you would like to apply for.
Alternatively just apply for the tickets yourself and I'll see you there!
The schedules and ticket prices for all sports can be found here.

If your country isn't listed then we will need to check with your national Olympic Committee.
The first ticket request phase is from March 15th to April 22nd 2011 and is a ballot system, meaning that if more people apply for tickets than there are tickets, the applicant will be entered into a bollot to see who is allocated the tickets. As the closing date is 22nd April Can I suggest that you let me know by 9th April what tickets you would like to apply for, but the earlier the better! Talk to others and discuss options on this page with others if you want, but email me with your ultimate decisions! There is no advantage to applying on the first day, but lets not leave it until the last day!
Don't worry there are other ticket application phases if you can't commit yet.
