On April 14, 2006, I received a life saving kidney transplant from my dad. Now five years later, I'm doing great and in the best health of my life! Come help me celebrate my second chance at life while also helping to support one of my favorite causes, Camp Independence!
Camp Independence, put on by the National Kidney Foundation serving Georgia and Alabama, is a week long camp for kids with kidney disease, on dialysis, or with any type of solid organ transplant and is held annually at Camp Twin Lakes. I started volunteering as a cabin counselor 3 months after my transplant and will be returning for my 6th summer at camp this year!
Conveniently, we are holding the Bowling for Camp fundraiser just 2 days after my 5th anniversary, and I'd love it if you could all join me for a fun afternoon of bowling, while also helping to send kids to camp. As an added bonus, it's a TAX WRITE-OFF. There are two windows for bowling from 1-3pm or 3-5pm.
Tickets will soon be available for purchase online at
www.kidneyga.org
