Join the Jatukik Providence Foundation the week of April 4th through the 8th for the CONGO COLLABORATION CHALLENGE!
Working with university campuses across the country, Jatukik aims to use the creativity of each campus's students to promote awareness for the difficulties facing the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Events may feature speakers, musical performances, and more, and work with individual donations, business sponsorships, and other means to raise at least $600 to sponsor one Congolese orphan child for at least one full year.
Participants who succeed in The Challenge will be recognized and invited to share their story on the Foundation’s website and Facebook page.
Already 500 orphans have been cared for by the Foundation and there are thousands more that are still abandoned by superstitious parents who are convinced that their children are possessed simply because they act childish. Now is the time to mobilize at the level that counts - at the grassroots.
--About the Jatukik Providence Foundation--
Established in 1999, the Jatukik Providence Foundation is a nonprofit, relief and development organization catering to underprivileged communities in the Congo and Haiti. Through community-based projects in health, education and conservation, the Foundation facilitates self-sustained relief endeavors so that communities can build their own pathways out of poverty. In recent years, the organization has expanded its relief efforts in neighboring African countries and inner city communities in the United States.
