I wrote this book about the 20 businesses I have started throughout my life, to document the mistakes made and lessons learned. I probably won't write another one like this for at least 10 years, so I thought I would throw a party to celebrate! Since we don't celebrate as often as we should, I'm throwing a dance party too. I’ve wanted to have a dance party for such a long time, and I know we all need something to look forward to in this sun-deprived city of ours.

About the venue

I couldn't believe this venue when I saw it. It was so me - except the platform dance stages. The wallpaper, the white sofas, the textured walls… this was it! My friend Lynn negotiated a deal and we set the date. It is the hot place to go in Seattle right now (if you’re 21 and sexy). We get to hang there on a Tuesday night and play some 80's inspired dance mix. I promise there will be no Ke$ha.

Attire: Casual: this is not a dress up party. *Bonus points for leg warmers and off the shoulder sweatshirts.

My co-author Sally Reavis, will be in the house as well!

There will be a no host bar to serve your favorite drinks, I'll provide some small bites (and of course be ready to sign some books!).
