We are hosting a leadership development public forum and we hope you can join us!

The forum will bring together seven local successful civic Vietnamese American leaders and two nationally recognized Vietnamese American leaders American leaders to share their experience and vision around the themes of leadership development and sustainability.

We hope to attract between 30 to 60 Vietnamese American community members/leaders/activists in Seattle and adjacent communities of King County to attend and actively participate in the post-forum leadership development workshop.

============= PROGRAM INFORMATION =================

Concept: Two parts

1. Leadership Development Panel - National and local community leaders of Vietnamese American communities share and discuss their values, experience and vision around three main themes: (1) Defining leadership, (2) Leadership Development in Vietnamese community, and (3) Future: coherent and sustainable platform to develop leaders for our community.

2. Leadership Development workshop - Utilizing panel members as group facilitators to engage attendants/participants to enrich and formulate options and alternative action plans for leadership development in the Vietnamese community.

Desired results:

1. Inform, attract and begin to lay a foundation for a coherent leadership development pathway for Vietnamese American community in Seattle and adjacent communities.

2. Identify, connect and leverage additional resources - human, financial and infrastructure capitals to advance equity in capacity building across the board of all Vietnamese American community based organizations (faith-based, direct services, social cultural, civic engagement).

3. Publicize and generate a positive environment conducive to leadership development in the Vietnamese American community.
