The GVLL - 2011 OPENING DAY CELEBRATION to start the season will feature Chris Carlin of SNY emceeing the event. We will also have the pleasure of an appearance by Nikki Van Cassele who will be performing the National Anthem.



Along with the traditional Parade of Teams, Official MLB Mascot Visitors, and Elected Dignitaries the 2011 Opening Day Celebration will include a “Best Team Banner” competition as well as festival events related to baseball, and a Pitch, Hit and Run competition sponsored by MLB and Aquafina. The best Team Banner in each division will be chosen from a panel of our distinguished guests and dignitaries. Each team with a winning banner will receive 15 tickets to the GVLL Family Day at MCU Park.
