Last year we started noticing little pocket neighborhoods sprouting up throughout the city worthy of individual celebration. We named them “microhoods” just for the heck of it, and hundreds of you came out to celebrate FolSoMa, the Mission Mid 20s, Mint Slope, and Mission Treat with us.
micro · hood - n. A piece of a neighborhood, perhaps only a block or two large, so glorious that it deserves its own name; i.e.: Valencia Bottoms is a shining example of a microhood.
Our latest microhood discovery is Valencia Bottoms – once overlooked as the stretch between Market Street and The Mission, Valencia below 15th is quietly becoming a destination unto itself, housing delicious slow bar coffee, impeccable midcentury modern furnishings, beautiful visual art, along with locally-made fashions and vintage threads.
Join us on Thursday, April 21 from 6 to 8 pm to meet the neighbors and take advantage of incredible bargains, delicious eats, complimentary libations, and a few surprises provided by Four Barrel Coffee, Nooworks, Michael Rosenthal Gallery, Farnsworth, The Common, and other great Valencia Bottoms merchants.
THE EVENT IS FREE but PLEASE RSVP so we can get a count of how many are coming. Supplies are limited but the fun is not.
This event is 21+.
