The Pazhassi Raja School (from the Vanavasi Ashram Trust) in rural southwest India is focused on educating boys & girls who might otherwise be left behind. Do Good Lab has chosen to partner with this school and help them purchase a Jeep (a used Jeep =$5,000, a new Jeep = $15,000).
The school is doing beautiful work with the kids and they believe they could be doing even more if they had a few important assets at their disposal. One is a Jeep that could be used to haul supplies from the nearest town as well as sick children back and forth to medical care (in addition to other uses). It takes 6 hours walk to get to the closest village.
In order to raise the necessary support to purchase this Jeep we are working on special fund-raising events that we hope you will consider being a part of.
We have raised $1,400 so far and we still need to raise $3,600 for a used Jeep!
Join us on April 14th and contribute to this project! DJ Prestige in the Mix and DJ Drew will be spinning a mix of bhangra, house and pop! Mr. Smith's Happy hour drink specials till 8pm ($3 beer and well drinks) champagne specials of $4 and $5 shall go all night long. Mr. Smith's will donate 1 bottle of Moet Champagne for table service at the raffle!
