The fragility of the cherry blossoms reminds us of the fragility of life, the annual beauty of the cherry blossoms reminds us that a there is always renewal and rebirth from the hardest times. Let's remain in solidarity with the people of Tohoku.
This is a bring-your-own-everything (food, drink, tarp to sit on) gathering. We will be collecting donations for Peace Boat's relief efforts (1000 yen would great but whatever you can give is welcome) and non-perishable food items for Second Harvest's relief efforts.
Out of respect for the victims and survivors in Tohoku, let's enjoy the cherry blossoms peacefully.
