The event is FREE and targeted towards Penn students. Members of the general public are welcome, but keep in mind that space may end up being limited and (sadly) we cannot guarantee seating for everyone.
More Info:
A true example of the democratization of information, Reddit fashions itself as a platform for "social news." It is unique in that users vote the posted links "up" or "down" with the most successful links gaining prominence on the front page. Users can also create their own topical sections for which to submit their links and to comment on others, forming a vibrant, engaged online community.
Reddit, founded as the first round of YCombinator, was acquired in 2006 by publisher Conde Nast in 2006. Ohanian formally "retired" (as he puts it) from the company in 2009 and served as a Kiva fellow in Armenia. He is now focused on his latest venture, Breadpig, an "uncorporation" trying to make the world a better place."
