"At the end of the Victorian era, E.W. Barton-Wright founded Bartitsu as a pioneering “mixed martial art” combining jiujitsu, kickboxing and self defence with a walking stick. It was also the means by which Sherlock Holmes was said to have defeated his arch-nemesis, the evil Professor Moriarty, in their famous battle at Reichenbach Waterfall."
We intend to put together a little group to study the cannonical Bartitsu (what we know for a fact that Barton-Wright taught at his club in London), and from there branch out into the more "neo-Bartitsu" territory - things that we should either expect B-W to have taught or modern things that fit well with his ethos. The amount of each will be dictated by interest levels :D
(Warning - the postcode above is known to not work well on some SatNavs; you'll get directed to Rembrandt Close, around the back where there is little parking)
Coming from the M4/A339, follow signs for the M3/A30 until you reach the A30. Turn right onto the A30 at the roundabout. Turn left at the first roundabout, left again at the next (onto Grove Rd), follow the road round the left-hand bend and take the first right onto Holbein Close (signed for the primary school). There's a car park at the end of the road for the primary school and the community centre.
