UPDATE:
The final countdown to B2B has begun! Here's an update on the current status of things and some logistics for Sunday.
MEETING PLACE
**3rd and Howard**
Plan on meeting at the usual place at 6:00am on Sunday morning (they made the race earlier this year). For those of you who've never done this with us before, the meeting place is across the street from the W at 3rd and Howard (where we met last year). Here is a link to Google Maps with the exact spot marked by a green arrow:

The Fun Police Meeting Spot
All of the "Fun Police" will congregate there and then once we have a critical mass, we'll move onto the race route and start our march to the ocean.
TIME
**6:00 AM.**
They moved the race up an hour this year, so it means we'll pass out an hour earlier, but the party is still on.
ALCOHOL
**Summary: You're on your own. Bring a backpack of booze.**
As of now, alcohol is still "prohibited". That said, everyone is still going to drink, but we just have to be a bit more discrete than pushing a keg down the street. This year it's going to be up to each person to bring their own alcohol to the party, and conceal it however they see fit. Some options are gatorade or water bottles with vodka, camel packs with beer or mixed drinks, flasks, coffee cups spiked with your liquor of choice, steal a 40 from a bum on the route, etc. Be creative here...the best use of subterfuge gets a special prize.
KEEPING TRACK OF THE GROUP
As many of you know, keep tracking of the group in a sea of people is super challenging. With the restrictions on floats this year, it will be even more difficult. We're in the process of solving that problem with balloons, but will let everyone know on race day what they need to look for to stay with the group as we walk.
FLOAT
Sadly, there won't be a float this year. Hopefully next year will be better.
FUN
Don't even ask. Of course it's going to be fun, probably even a little less bridge and tunnel (which can be a good thing). Even without a foam machine.
MUSIC
We're working on creative ideas. Stay tuned.
LAST MINUTE COSTUME IDEAS:
Throw a cop hat on your Halloween costume, Be creative, all attempts will be commended.
RAIN OR SHINE
We're doing this rain or shine...and are expecting you to do the same!
==============================
-Please invite the people i missed-
It's the 100th anniversary of Bay to Breakers, and while we've heard a lot of talk about the crackdown on floats and drinking, we're not going to give up on one of the best days of the year just yet. Put B2B in your calendar in pen, because it's going to happen, and it's going to be awesome. We won B2B last year, and we certainly will go as far out this year as we can.
THEME:
"The Fun Police!"
What's that mean? Get creative. Since the city and AEG are trying to eliminate the fun of Bay to Breakers, we'll be representative of that.
COSTUME IDEAS:
- Any combination of the word "fun" and "police".
- Slutty Cops
- Inmates
- Hot Cops a-la GOB in Arrested Development (tear away pants required)
- Anything Handcuffed to Anything
- Reno 911 (or just anything with Lt Dangle's shorts)
- Any famous cop
- Magnum PI
- Hawaii 5.0
- Slutty Mounties (for our Canadian friends)
FLOAT:
They're making it difficult this year, and so likely there won't be a traditional float. Because we're innovative people, we'll come up with a way to keep our group together.
ALCOHOL:
We'll be keeping a close eye on the drinking situation as we get closer to B2B, and will make a determination on how to handle the alcohol towards the beginning of May. In previous years, we've just taken $20 bucks per person and supplied all of the alcohol. That usually is the easiest way to go, so if we have that opportunity, then we'll go with it. If not, the party may end up being BYOB, or a hybrid of the two. We'll keep you posted.
FAQ:
Q: Isn't B2B dead this year?
A: No.
Q: Aren't AEG and the city are making it difficult this year?
A: Yes.
Q: Is B2B going from the best day on the planet, to _just_ the best day in the city?
A: Probably.
Q: Having doubts about going?
A: Don't be a bandwagon B2B-er. We'll be having an amazing time without you.
CONTACT:
Message one of the event admins with any questions or thoughts you might have. We know a lot of you are hooligans and have experience sneaking alcohol into events, so we're open to suggestions from you on strategies there.
Get excited...this year is going to rock just as hard as previous years!
