Mike Gehard A Vagrant box is one option but I have it all set up on my Air and it works out just fine.

Eoin Coffey Not to get too off topic, but maybe a vagrant box with everything ready to go?

Prakash Murthy For the few of us who will be contributing to an open source project for the first time: This video by Gregory Brown has some very good points - http://bit.ly/lumbVY

Mike Gehard Yeah if everyone could take a shot at following the contribution instructions above to get their dev environment setup it would be a good head start. If you run into issues, bring them with you on Sat and we'll try to help out.

Aaron Patterson @Prakash I'll do my best to be online, but I'm not sure what my internet situation will be like so I can't commit. :-(

Prakash Murthy @tenderlove : No worries if you are not reachable on Saturday; the online documentation & some of the local folks with rails dev experience should help us do a good job on Saturday. @Eoin : Setting up the environment will be the first task on Saturday; if everyone has already done that, we will directly jump into working on the bugs.

Eoin Coffey I'm guessing we should follow the guide linked above to get our local boxes setup for rails development?

Aaron Patterson fffuuuuu!! I will be out of town on Saturday. I'll try to be online, but I'm not sure. :-(
