What is the 1000 Campaign?
Simply put, this is an initiative to get 1000 people to commit to buying Winter on release day, or within the first week. (Don’t know about Winter? Click here to find out.

Why?
The publishing industry is tough… even more so for those of us authors who a part of the small press scene. Splashdown Darkwater is a small press. A small press requires the author to do all their own marketing. In addition, large chain bookstores will not usually carry small press books because they come from a print-on-demand printer.
This means that where authors who are published by the big publisher could typically see their book sell up to 10,000 copies, a small press author is lucky to have sold a couple hundred. Or to even break even with publishing costs.
I want to break the mold. I want to prove that a small press author has all the potential to compete with the big press authors. And the best way to do that is with a huge initial release.
