(collectively) Awwww....
For over 100 years, Father's Day has celebrated the contributions of Fathers to our society.
But what about the not-Fathers?
Everyone else gets a day... Mothers... Veterans... Bastilles...
So every year (starting last year - which was the 100th anniversary of Father's Day... yeah, we totally planned it that way), on the Friday prior to Fathers Day, we celebrate those who are perfectly content right now without... spawn.
A fraternity, of non-paternity.
So... come join us for drinks, intelligent and witty conversation, more drinks, progressively less intelligent and less witty conversation, and general ridiculousness.
Women are welcome and in fact encouraged to attend, as they are by definition, not fathers.
We will start with drinks at The Flat (my house) and then walk/meander/stumble our way to Fremont or some other part of Seattle for continued revelry in the fact that none of us have to be home by 12 because "that's how long we've paid the babysitter".
Disclaimer: while we encourage your enjoyment of NAFD, NAFD organizers accept no responsibility for the inevitable ridiculous situations that will arise as a result of NAFD. It would really ruin it for everyone if someone became a Father as a result of Not a Fathers day... and by everyone, I mean you... we'll all find it pretty ironic and hilarious.
See you there!!!
