Next Sunday May 15th is the 100th celebration of San Francisco in all it's quirkyness: surprisingly good runners, weird costumes and well-natured debauchery. The new title sponsor Zazzle promises no floats and alcohol this year, but have no fear, they say that every year. Safe from the police, we've got ample amphitheater standing area on our doorstep to watch cops attempting to arrest naked dudes (cue Marx Brothers' music).
Oh and by the way, our apartment is RIGHT on the course, just before Alamo Square Park. It's pretty much the perfect place to watch the magic. And we will have DJs for everyone to listen to some beats and get down! Please welcome Edmundo and DJ Diagnosis:

This year the race starts at 7am, an hour earlier. While Zazzle is hoping to keep things tamer, we're interpreting this as an excuse to get drunker earlier. Challenge accepted. After a few hours of watching the flood of drunkenness flow by, and the morning mimosas start to hit you, we're doing a BBQ in our jungle-of-a-backyard to fill your boozy stomach with meaty joy.
So, here's the plan in chronological order:
1.Wake up around 6:30am, hopefully not too drunk from Saturday night. It's early, deal with it.
2.Don your finest costume. The thrift stores are always ripe for extravagant fashion choices. When in doubt, think Gaga.
3.Bring your favorite bottle of booze and morning snack. We'll be making eggs, bagels and other carby delights to keep you full.
4.*Come by our apartment starting at 7am, 941 Hayes Street between Fillmore and Steiner.*
5.Watch the racers, listen to the bumpin' tunes and soak in the fun.
6.Binge on BBQ.
7.Get sunburnt.
8.Pass out somewhere and get lost on your way home.
9.Success. Repeat next year.
