Detroit native Hugh Cleal has always kept music close to his heart. Coming from a family of musicians, he picked up the violin and played in a concert orchestra through grade school. He also took part in theatrical plays where he began to sing and act. It was during this time Hugh realized that music and the arts were going to be his life.
In the mid 90’s, Hugh was swept away by the Detroit underground music scene.. He founded /sin-de-kat/ productions in 1996 and produced events that debuted acts such as Deep Dish, Carl Cox, King Britt, Q-Bert, The Pharcyde, Little Louis Vega, Ron Trent, and Funkmaster Flex to name a few.
Hugh quickly gained the respect of his peers with his warehouse parties series in Detroit and was offered a position at Motor Lounge which hosted just about everyone over its 10 year lifespan.
After a long hiatus Hugh's desire to push the envelope has led him back into music and with a little equipment and lot of effort he has come out of the gates running with numerous releases out since his production debut in 2010. In a short time he has already been featured on Open Bar Music, Juiced Music, Exchange Bureau, Full Flavor, Deep Hype Sounds, Ospina Digital, and Selektor Music with much more in the works. Most recently Hugh is launching a 12" record label with partner Wattie Green called Coyote Cuts in May 2011.
Being a performer by trade Hugh has remained active in the underground and club scene in Detroit. Playing weekly at various venues Hugh has brought in a range of talent for events in city ranging from Mark Farina to Wolfgang Gartner. In addition he has played gigs throughout the US and will be launching the Coyote Cuts label tour for late 2011.
Eric Sutter has quickly established himself as one of Detroit's go to guys for house music. Sutter's time spent developing a Detroit record/production label has opened doors to the next step in becoming a solid dj/producer.
During the spring of 2006, Sutter began his endeavor as an artist and creator of Detroit events from monthly events like "Glitch" and [something clever] to large scale NYE and Movement Festival after parties. These events have provided the opportunity to share the stage with talents like Roy Davis Jr, Bear Who? Johnny Fiasco, Ken C (ECB), Peter Christianson (LCG) and Justin Martin just to drop a few...
Eric Sutter's style of delivering deep, funky dance music has evolved over the years by blending from varieties of influences from Detroit to Chicago and beyond . This formula has produced Sutters recognizable sound around deep and sexy house with no shortage of neck-breaking jams. After all... "This is a DANCE party right"?
Aside of DJing and event production, his recent focus has been directed to music production. The debut of Sutters Strangeness EP, released on Open Bar Music (2010.12.28) paves the road for the upcoming year.
