The New Media Asia Summit 2011 is happening at the Royale Bintang Kuala Lumpur on Friday, May 13 2011 (right after http://TheNewMedia.Asia/ on May 11-12 2011). The event kickstarts at 9am and ends at 5pm, and is completely FREE to attend.What is a summit? It is an "unconference", where the direction of the day is made up as the day goes along. It is there for everyone to share and learn in an open environment. It is intense with discussions, demos, and interactions from all participants. That's right, this event is PARTICIPATORY - no one sits on the sidelines to listen in on a presentation, everyone participates! The tech community call this a "barcamp". Most of the speakers at The New Media Asia will be in attendance. Two tea breaks and lunch will be served at the summit.
