The Blogging While Brown Conference provides continuing technology education and networking opportunities to an audience primarily comprised of African American digital media content creators. The first Conference was held in 2008 in Atlanta, Georgia as a two-day event, beginning on Friday evening with a Welcome Reception. Since then, the Blogging While Brown Conference weekend schedule has expanded to include pre-conference practical skills sessions like the Beginning Blogger’s Boot Camp**. In 2011, the conference will expand to include and additional pre-conference workshop, the Online Activist Summit**. The core of the conference remains the panels, sessions and keynotes that begin on Friday evening and last all day Saturday, concluding with this year's collaboration with the Black Weblog Awards.
