For those of you not familiar, Meatstravaganza is my annual party dedicated to delicious meat foods. Specifically, a BBQ potluck where the main course is anything meat related. Bring a drink that goes well with meat, or bring your best recipe of meat, or if you're a token vegetarian/vegan, bring some almost meat. But most importantly, bring yourself!
The BBQs will be ready to go at 1pm at the 3009 back yard, and will go to sun down. I personally am going roast a WHOLE PIG for the very first time (yes, I am Filipino, but I'm a little slow on picking up on cultural things like being able to cook a whole animal with my eyes closed). Features include:
- Appearance of KaraokeTron 5000 throughout the day
- Possible photo booth
- A whole pig that's been roasting since the day before
- A house location in the middle of the SF Carnival on Harrison St.
NOTE: It's SF FREAKIN' CARNIVAL... do NOT drive in 'cause you wont even get through the Mission without hitting traffic or a parade, much less get a parking spot. Walk or bike to 3009. If you must drive, park closer to Portrero Ave, perhaps around SF General. This party is during the day, so you should be pretty safe getting back to your car after.
3009 23rd St @ Harrison. 1pm to Sundown. Bring meat, veggies, or drinks that go well with meat.
