Synopsis:
This year’s film is called “Burning Like a Fire- The Legacy of Ron Everett”…. It is an epic tale of good vs evil and fate vs acceptance. In the tradition of great underdog sports movies like Rocky, Hoosiers, and Dodgeball, “Burning Like a Fire” pits the hometown team against the best in the world. This time at the Hawaiian outrigger canoe World Championships. Our hometown heroes enlist the help of the great Ron Everett (Played by Ron Simonsen) to coach them to victory and this decision comes with much more than expected... Especially for the great Ron Everett.
What it is:
This event is a celebration of art and diversity, as well as a fundraiser so we may continue to run camps for people with disabilities. Every year we produce a film. Our films are not about disability but many of our actors have disabilities. We make it in two weeks at our actors camp in Los Angeles. Everyone at camp is involved in the production of the film and everyone works for fun and for free.
Voluntary contributions between $10 and $1500 will be collected at the door. All are invited and welcome to join in on the fun.
Cast And Crew will be present
Gift bags for all attendees
