As with every show, professional make-up artists working in film, fashion, TV, theater and print will teach classes and demonstrate top techniques and styles all weekend. Make Up For Ever founder Dany Sanz, a crowd favorite, will return to IMATS Los Angeles as an instructor.
Throughout the weekend, make-up companies will unveil new products and tools and offer discounts on kit staples. This year’s show features several new exhibitors—including Norcostco, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Inglot, BodyFX and Napoleon Perdis—as well as IMATS Los Angeles regulars including Make Up For Ever, M.A.C., Nyx and Züca.
The Make-up Museum will showcase make-up effects, sculptures, animatronics and more from some of the world’s best-known films. The student competition, in which make-up students race to create winning looks, has a tribal beauty theme for the beauty category; the character category is themed mythological creatures.
