The campground has bathrooms, running water, firepits, but no electricity. Dogs are allowed, but technically should stay on leash. There are some lakes nearby for swimming, too, and plenty of hiking.

Note under Things To Do:
"The Ventana wilderness, which we also call the “Gorge”, is available for hiking, backpacking, bicycling, hunting, fishing, swimming and horseback riding. Take a 4-5 mile hike upstream to a beautiful waterfall; you’ll not only have to walk the trail, but also swim across the river."

I am planning on doing this June 4th in the morning to afternoon. I've done it before and its really fun. Since it gets so hot, its best to be down in the gorge before noon, so if you want to do the hike, i suggest arriving the night before.

Sunday afternoon I'll probably stick around to drink-n-swim, but for those climbers amongst us, Pinnacles is not far away so maybe there'll be enough people to head over there.

Don't forget to bring:
* beer & liquo'
* bug spray
* bedding, the ground is hard there

If you're going on the hike, you might want to bring:
* water proof bag (big ziplock works)
* water shoes or hiking sandals, you'll be swimming
* inflatable something, some of the pools are > 50 yards so you can make your life easier
