The HUII conference, which will take place the weekend of August 5th-7th, aims to provide a transformational experience for its attendees. HUII organizers are preparing an excellent line-up of speakers and panelists and developing a dynamic and interactive format, including presentations, small discussion groups, meal conversations, and networking events. All of these different components will allow the students from India and the US who are invited to the conference to absorb ideas and experiences from some of India and the world’s top thinkers and form meaningful international connections with their peers.
An essential part of HUII’s mission is converting ideas and relationships into action, and the case study portion of our Summer Conference 2011 will accomplish that task, bringing a selected group of US and Indian students together to address a case study focused on water and sanitation problems in India. Assisted by a set of advisors with experience in this field, this international team will establish a framework for a social enterprise that can tackle the problems outlined in this case study.
HUII Summer Conference 2011 will provide a variety of interactions and opportunities for its participants, fostering a stronger connection between students from the US and India that can help form a foundation of understanding and communication between these important countries.
