Dave Osborn was a mountain of a man and a musician of awe-worthy proportions. if you met him once you were a full force friend of his. Everywhere we went he knew at least four people, even Granbury Wal-mart (true story). If you ever jammed with him or had seen and heard him play, you were left with a true sense of his grandiose talent. Not only did he make you feel the rhythms of music, but life as well. A definition, THE definition of Rock & Roll. So that’s why we believe that we can take the spirit of our friend, the spirit of the day we first celebrated him, and our general ability to have more fun than any other collective group of people on the planet, and make a yearly event to raise a pile of dough for a good cause. We propose, in his honor, we throw the most out of sight, rip roaring nights of fun and music for the world (or this first year DFW to be apart of) and the next day we take to the stacks of green we raised and give it to the support of youth arts and music in our community. We wanna start the charity close to home and broaden to larger things in the coming years like public/private school programs and even college scholarships. Some lucky little lad or lass is gonna get the coveted Dave Osborn Scholarship.
The aptly named “Davestock” is a gift. This is for him and them (the countless amount of people Dave never got to meet or effect) from us, his friends. Our day will be our day from now and forever, but once a year we can show the world that which Dave always knew-- the value of a given night.

Students learn from professional musicians in an interactive environment combining weekly private lessons and structured group rehearsals with the ultimate goal of performing live in front of real crowds." It is a private non-funded school with over 50 locations around the U.S. and 5 in the dallas/fort worth area.
