WE WANT TO THANK EVERYONE THAT HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE TOWN OF PHIL CAMPBELL, ALABAMA! WE ARE SO BLESSED! WE WILL NEVER FORGET OUR FRIENDS WHO HELPED THIS TOWN IN ANYWAY!! WE THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!!!
And as you know, many of our friends and families have suffered because of a loss of loved ones and they will be truly missed.. There are numerous families who have lost everything they have and are trying to rebuild.. This Festival is serving as a RELIEF FESTIVAL and we need to contribute as much as we can, to help our loved ones & friends..
I had a new design for the Hoedown Festival Shirts, but the Tornado had other things on its mind.. The Festival shirts this year will serve as a "Relief Shirt". On the front of the shirts will be " PHIL CAMPBELL - WE WILL REBUILD", and the back will have: "REMEMBERING ALL OF THE STORM VICTIMS OF APRIL 27, 2011". We also will incorporate the following: THANKS TO ALL VOLUNTEERS FOR HELPING OUR TOWN OF PHIL CAMPBELL...The colors of the shirts this year will be neon colors of Blue, Orange, Pink, Yellow and Green.... If you want to purchase a shirt, please see one of these people: Chris Barton, Kevin Barton, Melissa Mohr, Barbara King, Brian Messer, Rita Barton, Eddie Barton, Jeremy Kimbrough, or Brad Trapp. We probably will have the shirts ready for sale shortly and will be selling them at the Piggly Wiggly & Raceway! I hope everyone will try to purchase one, because this is for the town & it's people!

CHANGES!
June 17th and 18th 2011 - Phil Campbell's and Phyllis Campbell's from all over the world will be coming to our town. So please make them feel welcome when they arrive! We will be having a parade on June 18th at 10:00 a.m. starting in front of the school... Phil Campbell, of Birmingham, Al., will be bringing the Alabama Pipes & Drums Band to lead our Parade. The parade is for everyone, but most importantly, for all of the Phil's, Phyllis', Phillip Campbell's who will be coming to our town of Phil Campbell, Al.... So please come and make them all feel welcome! At 11:00 a.m. we will start the "Welcoming Ceremony" in which the Color Guard will bring the American Flag on stage, Terry Welborn will sing the "National Anthem", we'll have our prayer, the Girl Scout Troop from Phil Campbell will do the "Pledge of Allegiance", our Mayor Jerry Mays will "Welcome Everyone", and then the introduction of all of our "Phil Campbell's" from around the world.
Mike Norton will be having our Phil Campbell Hoedown Hustle 5K Run starting at 7:.30 a.m... The registration will be at the Annex Building in Phil Campbell..
We will also be honoring Billy Sherrill, Songwriter and Country Music Hall of Fame Inductee,around 4:00 p.m. at the stage. We will be presenting Billy with an award from the Town of Phil Campbell..Also we will be celebrating our Town's 100th Year! After the Welcoming Ceremony, we will have 100 balloons for the children to let go for our 100th Year Celebration of our town. So please bring your kids and let them have the time of their lives by writing their names on the balloons before they let them go. It will be something that they'll always remember. There will also be a 100th Year Birthday Cake for all the public to enjoy....
We will NOT be having the Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show this year, because of the devastation to the school.. Also, we had planned on having a Beauty Pageant, but have decided to CANCEL this too! The games and Rides will be on the lawn in front of the school. We'll have other things to look forward to also!!!
We will be trying something new this year. We are going to have our NEW Entertainment Stage across the road by the Chat N Chew! PARENTS BE SURE TO WATCH YOUR CHILDREN WHILE CROSSING THE STREET . TRY TO USE THE CROSS WALK AT THE FIRST RED LIGHT BY THE CHAT N CHEW WHEN CROSSING THE STREET..We would like for everyone to be SAFE! Thanks and be sure to bring your lawn chair and join in the fun!
